These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Insurance Exchange website and mobile applications (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Insurance Exchange is a digital marketplace that connects customers with licensed insurance agencies in Brunei Darussalam for motor, travel, domestic-helper, and related insurance. We provide the technology that lets you request quotes, compare offers, communicate with agencies, and submit documents. We are not an insurer, agent, or broker of any policy. Any insurance policy you obtain is a contract between you and the issuing agency/insurer, on their terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an insurance contract in Brunei to use the Platform. You agree that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to submit any documents you upload.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are fraudulent.
The Platform does not currently process premium payments. Premiums are paid by you directly to the agency/insurer (for example by bank transfer), and you may be asked to upload proof of payment. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, those payments.
To obtain insurance you may be required to provide identity and other documents (e.g. identity card, passport, business licence). You confirm you have the right to provide these and consent to their use as described in our Privacy Policy. You must not upload documents that are not yours or that you are not permitted to share.
You agree not to: provide false information; impersonate another person; upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' data; interfere with or disrupt the service; or use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
The Platform, including its software, design, and content (excluding agency/insurer content and your own content), is owned by Insurance Exchange and protected by applicable law. You may use it only as permitted by these Terms.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that quotes or information provided by agencies are accurate or suitable for you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Insurance Exchange will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your insurance policy or your dealings with any agency/insurer. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify us against claims and losses arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or content you submit.
You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brunei Darussalam, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Brunei Darussalam.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
